snark at its finest.

i tend to get a little obsessed with things.  certain tv shows.  movies.  books.  blogs.  yes, a lot of things.  jen lancaster is one such thing.  well, person.  a woman after my own heart: an author (from chicago!) who writes snarky memoirs with titles like bitter is the new black and such a pretty fat.  and pretty in plaid was about dressing preppy in the 80s!  80s preppy = best. best. best.  

her books are just fun.  like laugh-out-loud-on-the-crowded-city-bus fun.  (which is also awkward).

so jen is currently on her book tour for her newest release and will be right here in chicago tonight!  you may now have some idea of my plans for this evening, which will include lugging, oh, 5 or so books to be signed in tow, including the new one (which is at the top of my ever-growing "to read" list):
