is a virtue. and sometimes i reallllly struggle with it. the worst of all? the slow walker issue. i? am a very fast walker. and? i tend to get a little frustrated on sidewalks in the city. that's why the latest project? from improv everywhere? genius.
they made a 2-lane sidewalk, people!
i love that he's "enforcing" the system
they understood their place
lol apparently one of them lives out of town
feel free to come do this in all of chicago. and, i know, i need to work on the patience thing. and i'll try to slow down. try.
xo. di.

p.s. color me katie? SUCH a fun blog. definitely take a peek
I, too, am a "fast" walker. And while tourists certainly do clog up the sidewalks (going to school off of Michigan Avenue was the WORST, and don't even get me started on people who ride their BIKES on the sidewalk!), sometimes Chicagoans are pretty slow themselves, too (*cough Rob cough*). It is an incredibly hard thing to slow down your natural pace, so I applaud you for even making the effort.
ReplyDeleteI am totally with you on this one! I am a speed walker for sure, "walking with a purpose" I call it. I hate when people take up the whole side walk and don't move over, and in general the onslaught of tourists around my work in the summer can be pretty annoying! I saw that two lanes thing somewhere online too, great idea for here, so funny!
ReplyDeleteThis is hillarious! Anyway, on a more serious note, yes, patience is a very important virtue, and we all have to get better at it. XOXO
