inspired by my reading of the happiness project by gretchen rubin, i am instituting monday "gratitude" posts (read here for more detail), where i will list "3 things i'm grateful for" from the previous week.

the 3 things i'm grateful for this week are:
1) i've been meaning to acknowledge this for some time now, but my followers have been slowly but steadily creeping up to 100 - and i just have to thank you all for that!
2) quiet after the storm that was halloween weekend. crafting, cleaning, working, and relaxing took place.
3) so after almost 6 months of allowing my roots to grow out to humiliating lengths (in the name of long hair for halloween costume + saving $), i finally got my hair did this week. i am usually a long hair girl, but i was dying for a change, and about 2 months ago i found the look i wanted. i realize it's not the most drastic length-change of all time, but it's close to that for this girl. in fact it's shorter than expected. still getting used to it, but also still glad i did it! here's the inspiration:

this week's blog love:
- a love affair with the actress/model Clémence Poésy occurred this week. not only did i feature a photo of her, but sarah's of fairy tales are true post on french chic had her front and center, and ashley of ashley nicole catherine revealed her girl crush on her!
- b.a. of do.think.wear.see.love.dream shared her endearing story of her first pregnancy. her writing always has a way of touching the reader in unexpected ways.
- jamie of from me to you was inspired by the movie the assassination of jesse james by the coward robert ford to take a trip to the jesse james family farm in kearney, missouri for a haunting photo shoot.
- anne of the city sage posted an adorable montage of halloween pictures from the ace hotel's party in palm springs. looked like a blast!
here's to another grateful week.

you're more than welcome, tucker!
ReplyDeletehi chas! welcome to the blog - glad you like the post. sometimes i feel a little sheepish that my "grateful" items aren't perhaps as meaningful as others... but sometimes it's little things that add up to a content sort of feeling, right?!
thanks for the shout-out!!
