inspired by my reading of the happiness project by gretchen rubin, i am instituting monday "gratitude" posts (read here for more detail), where i will list "3 things i'm grateful for" from the previous week.
the 3 things i'm grateful for this week are:
1) i have been doing weekly grateful posts for an entire year now. i really cannot believe how fast it's gone! i'm thinking of tweaking it a little going forward, so stay-tuned for that next week!
2) the opportunity to see neil gaiman in person as part of the one book, one chicago program, and listen to him read from my favorite book of his (and a favorite, period). he is just the coolest.
3) a lovely weekend that concluded with the premiere of game of thrones on hbo. the bf and i recently became huge fans of the book series, so to say we were excited for the tv show is quite the understatement (see pics 3 & 4 below for proof!)
{fresh tulips!}
{working on more fresh produce in the diet}
{sunday afternoon cooking for the game of thrones premiere}
{baking lemon cakes - a game of thrones favorite!}
this week's blog love:
- oh, hello friend had two posts this week of great interest. the first, a collection of twinkle lights, the second, a look at blog commenting. the articles she cited and people's comments on the post have been extremely informative.
- shockingly, one sydney road's makes me want to dance post really caught my eye.
- laurence amelie's paintings, featured on caitlin wilson designs, are stunners.
- lanalou style celebrated all things red.
- a jaw-dropping wedding editorial in elle bride found on dustjacket attic.
- the most adorable easter egg hunt by lisa o'dwyer photography, featuring etsy ireland sellers!
- if you read martha stewart living, you may have seen rifle paper co.'s crazy adorable book-themed baby shower in the most recent issue. best part? the ideas + clip art are all online here.

That lemon cake looks simply divine. I may have to find it to make for myself :)
ReplyDeleteIsn't it nutty how quickly a year flies by? Fresh tulips and juicy grapefruit definitely scream spring. So glad it's finally here!
ReplyDeleteLucky girl, getting to see/hear Neil Gaiman! I remember he was at the Printer's Row Lit Fest one year when I went, but I missed him. I love all the cultural goings-on in Chicago!
ReplyDeleteAnd I was going to watch Game of Thrones but I haven't read the books yet so I worried I'd be completely clueless. I love the cast, though!
one year of these posts? that's awesome! i've really been inspired by your monday grateful posts, maybe it's time to start doing my own...
ReplyDeletealso, that dance post on one sydney roof is honestly to die for! thank you so much for sharing :)
have a lovely and inspiring week!
