today i am grateful for:
happy october! i love this month so very much. c and i got our fall on this weekend with a trip to an indiana pumpkin patch & apple orchard. so nice to get out of the city for an afternoon.
pictures worth a thousand words:
{on the advice of one of my lovely readers, we ended up at county line orchard in hobart, indiana}
{due to the crazy weather in the spring, apple season has really suffered, so they've set the good ones out in troughs for picking}
{but they're still delicious}
{you can pick your own sunflowers as well}
{our haul!}
this week's blog love:
- joelle of something charming speaks up about negativity in the blog world. important words.
- surprised by joy: some beautiful, emotional and heart-breaking words from anna of anna-bird following a loss. her words will stay with you.
- casee marie of the girl who stole the eiffel tower introduces us to the newest hit bbc series coming to pbs: call the midwife, which premiered last night.
- i am loving ever swoon's new whimsical wednesday series. this week: alice in wonderland-inspired.

ReplyDeleteWhat a fun day! Going into the country and picking pumpkins is also something I'll be doing sometime this month. I can't wait!
ReplyDeleteI just loled at c's face
ReplyDeletethanks, Di. a really tough day yesterday was made better by remembering that I'm not alone! xo Anna
ReplyDeleteThanks for the shout-out, Di! So nice that the orchard at least had apples - my grandfather went to an orchard here on the east coast and they weren't allowing customers to pick any at all, the whole crop was that bad. Definitely puts a cramp on the festivity of the season, apples are my fave.
ReplyDeletetotally, it's so sad
